Rural Development Housing Programs
Kantor Taylor supports developers, lenders, and nonprofit sponsors involved in innovative housing and economic development in rural areas. We have assisted a variety of clients in the acquisition of portfolios of projects financed under current USDA Rural Development (RD) programs (primarily 515 loans) utilizing various funding sources including tax-exempt bond financing and Low Income Housing Tax Credits. These transactions occurred in a variety of Western states where we worked closely with all funding sources and RD staff in the field and headquarters offices.
We also assist clients who are considering prepayment of their existing 515 guaranteed loans, and have been particularly successful with tandem projects also receiving Section 8 rental assistance (other than Rental Assistance provided by RD).
We are also well-versed in the Rental Assistance Program administered by RD, as well as the 538 Guaranteed Rural Housing Program.
