Scottland Glenn counsels clients in real estate development, investment, and finance. A significant portion of Scottland’s real estate practice is devoted to the multifamily sector, with an emphasis on tax credit property financings. He serves as counsel to developers (both for profit and nonprofit), issuers, lenders, credit enhancers, and underwriters in the structuring and negotiation of complex tax-exempt and taxable financing for acquisitions, refinance, and dispositions of multifamily communities. Most recently, these transactions have included properties in the states of Washington, California, New Jersey, Tennessee, Minnesota, Nebraska, Arizona, New Mexico, and Connecticut.
Prior to joining Kantor Taylor, Scottland served as in house counsel to Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Company and practiced as a tax attorney with a large law firm. He also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Benjamin H. Settle at the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington and also to the Honorable Lisa R. Worswick at the Court of Appeals, Division II, for the State of Washington.
